I'm not sure why I waited so long to share this image that I captured last year at Glacier National Park. But, the significance of this image is that it is the very last landscape image I captured before my life would be permanently changed due to the car accident my family and I were in while traveling through Montana last July 11 (2021).
I haven’t given an official update on the condition of my eye because I truly want everyone’s prayers going towards my wife’s recovery as she continues battling her rare and aggressive cancer. However, I do want to let you know that I received word from the doctor a few months ago and he said that they have done all that they can do and I am now legally blind in my left eye.
This hasn’t stopped me from taking pictures of course. In fact, God in His goodness and grace has caused my portrait business to thrive, and between that and teaching High School Photography full-time, I have had my hands full to the brim with photography, which I am so very thankful for! Only God could bring so much joy and fulfillment in the midst of a difficult season.
But seeing this photograph truly causes me to miss the great outdoors and I look forward to getting back out there on a regular basis in the future. Thank you again for all of your love, support, prayers, and encouragement throughout the years.
